Bows Bows Bows

If you know me in any way at all, you'll know I have a slight obsession with hair bows.

Honestly, how can you look at them and not die? They're so cute and fun.

However, when I first fell in love with this trend I couldn't really find them in stores. Now they seem to be in every H&M and F21 (which is awesome, honestly). At first I could only turn to Etsy for my obsession and phew doggy those bad boys can be expensive!

So I made a decision. I could buy these bows for 5-7 bucks a pop (which isn't like, breaking the bank, or anything) plus shipping or I could figure out a way to make them myself.

So what did I do? You guessed it, I started making bows.

At first, they kind of sucked honestly. But then after I scrapped a few of them I figured out a routine that made them look pretty cute in my own humble opinion.

My first ten-ish bows were made of fabric. (I told you I have an obsession, did you think I was kidding?)

Fabric bows, total win as long as you can find cute fabric. Which is 100% doable considering I live right next to a Joann's.

But recently I've been experimenting with putting bows together differently, and this time with ribbon!

I think I'm enjoying the ribbon look better! These bows are all pink because I only bought pink ribbon in case I hated ribbon bows. And since I love pink… Haha. I was actually feeling a princess Aurora vibe when I picked these three ribbons out.

Anyway, what do you think? Do you like the fabric or the ribbon bows better? Honestly, feedback would be amazing!

Both mediums present difficulties when I make them, but the end result is just too cute to not make them!

However, the main reason for this post is to hear your feedback. I'm currently considering opening up an Etsy shop to sell these hand made bows online to a larger audience. There will be more than just pink, don't worry! Actually I'm toying around with the idea of making bows inspired by sororities, colleges, major league sports, and maybe even disney (though there are some amazing boutiques on Etsy that specialize in this already).

So this is where you come in. I need to get a basic idea of some sort of demographic for these bows. If they have an audience willing to buy (and I'm not going to charge an arm and a leg, just materials + labor) then I would have a lot of fun making these and sending them out. I have a creative bug itching to get out and my boyfriend can only handle seeing me in so many bows!

If you think you would be interested in purchasing either fabric or ribbon hair bows for yourself or a loved one, please comment down below or give this a +1 thing. If I have enough interested I will open up an Etsy shop myself and sell them!

Thanks for reading!
xx
